How to Make Sattu Cheela

STEP 1

Take the Mix

Start by adding PitaraFest Sattu Cheela Mix into a mixing bowl. For the right consistency, use the ratio of 1 cup of Sattu Cheela Mix with ½ cup of water this is the perfect base for crispy, flavourful cheelas every time.

STEP 2

Add Chopped Vegetables

Add a handful of finely chopped fresh vegetables to the mix onion, tomato, and just a little coriander for freshness. These simple additions bring colour, crunch, and a homestyle touch to every bite.

STEP 3

Prepare the Batter

Gradually add water and mix until you get a smooth, pourable batter not as thick as a dough, and not too watery either. The right consistency is key to spreading the cheela evenly on the pan.

STEP 4

Heat the Pan & Pour

Heat a non-stick pan on medium flame and grease it lightly with a few drops of oil. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and gently spread it into a round, medium-thickness cheela. Let it cook undisturbed until it starts to set.

STEP 5

Cook the First Side

Cook on medium flame until the edges begin to lift and the bottom turns a beautiful golden colour. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges for that extra crispness just like the ones made at home!

STEP 6

Flip & Finish

Carefully flip the cheela and cook the other side until both sides are golden, slightly crisp on the outside, and soft on the inside. That perfect golden finish is your cue that it's ready!

STEP 7

Serve Hot & Enjoy

Remove from the pan and plate immediately. Serve piping hot with green chutney 🌿 or tomato ketchup 🍅 on the side. Best enjoyed fresh off the pan wholesome, delicious, and ready in minutes!
